10 tips to further reduce the cost of your Egypt trip
- Go in low season - January-February or July-August: save 20-30% on the same hotels and boats as in high season (up to £380 savings on a trip for 2 people).
- Book in advance (3-6 months) - 4-5★ boats reduce their early-bird rates by 10-15% for advance reservations. From 3 months before departure, prices rise.
- Avoid Christmas, New Year, Easter and any school holidays - these premium periods can double the price.
- Choose a classic 4★ cruise instead of a 5★ Premium - very decent comfort (balcony cabin, swimming pool, decent dinners) for £310-£460 less.
- Travel in pairs, not solo - the single supplement is £220-£380: share the room/cabin with a friend to save.
- Pay by transfer rather than by credit card - Stripe fees are 1.4-2.5% which we pass on. By transfer you save £20-£40.
- Prepare your visa yourself via visa2egypt.gov.eg (30 USD) - saving of £20 vs a visa taken by tour operator.
- Avoid overcharged all-inclusive club hotels in Hurghada/Sharm - often full board at £60/day when a 4★ hotel + à la carte restaurant costs £50/day.

Why are your prices cheaper than Carrefour or Promovacances?
Because we are based in Cairo and we buy directly from hotels and shipowners. Carrefour, Promovacances and other international tour operators go through 2-3 intermediaries (B2B wholesaler → DMC Egyptian → hotel) and each takes an 8-15% margin. We cut out these middlemen by being the local DMC ourselves.
When to go for the lowest price in 2026?
