Terms and Conditions

Sem Elegant Voyage does not sell trips off a shelf. Every Nile cruise, every dahabiya sailing, every tailor-made itinerary is built for the people traveling on it. So the terms of your trip are not a grid we apply to you. They are agreed with you, in writing, before you commit to anything.

How your trip is agreed

It starts with a conversation. You get in touch on WhatsApp at 201096569859 or through the inquiry form on this site, and you tell the team your dates, who is traveling, and what matters to you: the temples at first light, a small dahabiya rather than a big boat, a slower pace because a child or an older parent is coming along.

The team writes back with a proposal built for you. It sets out the itinerary day by day, the hotels, the boat and the cabin category, and the price for your group.

Then you talk it over. Hardly anyone takes the first version exactly as it arrives, and that is how it should go. Move a day, change a hotel, add a night in Aswan, ask what a different boat would cost. The team reworks it and sends it back, as many times as it takes, until the trip on the page is the trip you actually want.

When you confirm that proposal, it becomes the reference for your trip. Everything after that follows what it says:

Nothing on this page overrides your confirmed proposal. If the two ever read differently, your proposal is what applies to your trip.

Why it works this way

Because no two SEV trips are the same. A family of five over the winter holidays and two people on a dahabiya in low season do not need the same conditions. One set of terms written to cover both would fit neither properly, and it would push the team into saying no to things it can easily say yes to. Agreeing terms trip by trip is what lets us build around what you want instead of around a template.

If your plans change

Tell the team as early as you can, on WhatsApp at 201096569859 or by email. Plans do change: work moves, someone gets sick, a flight is rescheduled. The team will always try to make a change work for you.

What we can promise is how we handle it. The team checks with the hotels, the boat and the airlines involved and comes back to you quickly with a straight answer: what is possible, what is not, and what the change involves. You get all of that before anything is committed, and nothing on your booking moves until you say go ahead. We would rather tell you honestly that something is difficult than promise it and have you discover the truth in Egypt.

How payment works

Payment is by international bank transfer or by a secure card payment link the team sends you. The amounts and the timing are the ones set out in your confirmed proposal.

If payment instructions reach you through any other channel, or anything about them looks off to you, call the team on 201096569859 before you send anything.

Passports, visas and entry to Egypt

Passports, visas and meeting Egypt's entry requirements are your responsibility as the traveler. What applies depends on your nationality and on your particular trip, and the rules do change. Tell the team which passports your group holds and it will tell you what your trip requires and how to arrange it, in good time before you travel. Give names exactly as they appear in the passports, because flights and boat tickets are issued against them.

Health, mobility and special requests

Tell the team about a health condition, reduced mobility, an allergy, a dietary need or anything else that matters before your trip is agreed, not after. Raised early, it becomes part of how the trip is built: which boat, which hotel, how much walking in a day, how the mornings are paced. Raised late, the options narrow.

Egypt has uneven ground, steps without handrails and real heat. If something on a proposed itinerary will not work for someone in your group, the team will say so and go through the alternatives with you. An honest answer in advance is worth more than a difficult morning at Karnak.

If something is not right during your trip

Tell us right away, on the spot if you can. Speak to your guide or message the team on WhatsApp at 201096569859. Most things can be put right while you are still in Egypt: a room changed, a day rearranged, a driver rebriefed. The same thing reported once you are home is usually beyond fixing.
