Nuun & Nuut: Two Dahabeyas Sisters Inspired by the Egyptian Cosmic Gods

In ancient Egyptian mythology, Nuun was the primordial ocean, the waters from which creation arose. Nut, her descendant, was the goddess of the starry night sky, arching above the Earth. Two complementary forces - water and sky - that Semelegantvoyage found in the two sister dahabeyas which bear their names.

Dahabiya Nuun The God of Primordial Waters

The main boat, 8 cabins, 16 passengers maximum. 100% sailing navigation veil lateens nil as soon as the wind permits. Library lounge, panoramic restaurant, jacuzzi on upper deck. Crew 12 people, chef on board dahabiya of real Egyptian cuisine.

Dahabiya Nuut The Goddess of the Starry Sky

The sister boat, 8 cabins, identical configuration but cosmically oriented interior decoration (star mosaics, light cedar wood). Privatized together or separately, the two sail in convoy with joint evenings on the quayside deck.

Flotilla Privatization: A Unique Event on the Nile

The Nuun & Nuut flotilla is the only formula in Egypt offering TWO sister boats that can be privatized together. It is the equivalent of a Nile yacht charter, at a transparent flat rate.

What the $31,100package includes - 6 nights full board for up to 32 passengers spread over 2 boats · full crew · tailor-made menu by the chef with pre-tasting · Sufi musician / traditional Nubian ensemble · photographer/videographer 2 days · symbolic ceremony (renewal of vows, secular marriage, birthday) · floral decoration · port taxes and monument entries · dedicated English-speaking Egyptologist guide.

+ premium options - domestic flights Cairo→Luxor and Aswan→Cairo ($7,780/group), Cairo extension 3 nights Four Seasons Nile Plaza ($14,580/group), West Siwa desert safari in parallel for certain non-cruise guests.

FAQ: Dahabiyas Nuun & Nuut

What is the difference between Nuun and Nuut boats?

The two dahabeyas are technically twins (55 m, 8 cabins, 16 pax). The Nuun (god of waters) has a blue-green dark wood interior decoration, the Nuut (goddess of the sky) has an ivory-gold light wood decoration with star mosaics. Strictly identical level of comfort.

Can we reserve only one cabin on each boat?

Yes. In the Essential/Signature/Prestige formula, you reserve a cabin and the dahabiya (Nuun or Nuut) is assigned to you depending on availability. Unless specifically requested, we try to place couples traveling together on the same boat.

How much does a fleet privatization (2 boats) cost?

From $31,100for 6 nights, up to 32 people (16 per boat). Included: full board accommodation, excursions, guide, musician, photographer. Not included: optional symbolic ceremony (count $1,460-3,500 depending on format), flowers, flights.

Can we organize a wedding on board?

Yes, symbolic ceremony only (not legally recognized as we do not have a license to officiate in Egypt). We organize everything: flower altar, musician, tailor-made menu, stored dress, starry decoration. For legal marriage, it must be done in France before or at the Cairo embassy.

Does the boat accept children?

Yes from 6 years old. Prices −20% (6-12 years), −10% (12-18 years). The flotilla is particularly suitable for multi-generational families (grandparents + parents + children). Extra bed in panoramic suite on request.

What is the best season?

October to April (22-28°C, clear sky). May to September hot (35-42°C) but promotional rates −25%. December-February the most popular; for privatized flotilla reserve 6 to 9 months in advance.

What is the difference between Esna→Aswan 6 nights vs Luxor→Aswan 4 nights?

The Esna lock is no longer crossed by the majority of MS. The Esna-Aswan 6 nights itinerary allows the stops El-Kab (exclusive), Gebel Silsila (pharaonic quarries), much calmer atmosphere. Luxor-Aswan 4 nights is the big ship classic, crowded.

Is there an internet connection on board?

WiFi during urban stopovers (Edfu, Kom Ombo, Aswan). While browsing: intentional disconnection. 3G/4G mobile roaming covers almost the entire journey for those who need to remain reachable.

What should you wear on board?

On board: casual, jacuzzi swimsuit, shawl for starry evenings. Excursions: shoulders and knees covered (temples, Nubian market). Captain’s dinners (D1, D7): smart casual. Symbolic wedding ceremony: free to you.

How to book and pay?

3x payment without fees from $1,940Visa/Mastercard/SEPA/PayPal. Flexible cancellation up to D-60.
